RED OAK — A majority of Red Oak voters overwhelmingly chose Rev. Fred Pilecki at a special election Tuesday to serve the remainder of a city council term.
RED OAK — After a contentious discussion, Red Oak’s City Council voted 3-1 last week to disregard the mayor’s request for a May special election on a proposed motel/hotel tax.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY—The all-conference list for boys’ basketball was released last week by the Corner Conference and features players from several area teams.
RED OAK — The Montgomery County chapter of Ducks Unlimited will be holding its 27th annual fundraising membership banquet on Saturday, March 3 at the Red Coach Inn in Red Oak, starting at 5:30 p.m
GRISWOLD — Devin Bates was one of three Griswold boys’ basketball players selected to the all-conference team, released by the Western Iowa Conference, last week.
GRISWOLD — Griswold High School will once again play host to the annual Old-Timers Wrestling Tournament this Saturday, starting at 11 a.m.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY—Players from Villisca, Stanton and Essex were selected to the All-Conference girls basketball team, released by the Corner Conference, last week.
MALVERN—The East Mills Wolverines season came to an end last Tuesday night when they lost in the district semifinals to the St. Albert, 59-49.
