I called Smucker’s the other day, which reminded me of the time I did likewise with another mega-company; Kraft Foods. The Kraft experience was a good one, and I don’t think it’s been told here.

Myra Damewood will turn 80 Aug. 6. Her family is hosting an open house in her honor.
The open house for Myra will be Aug. 3 from 2-4 p.m. at the Red Oak YMCA.
Janis K. Hunt and Daniel M. Campbell were married July 4 in Silver Dollar City, Branson, Mo.
The couple currently resides in Red Oak.
Stanton, East Mills and Essex are all well represented on the all-conference softball team for the Corner Conference, released last Monday.
Brianne Erin Hart and Capt. John Charse Barghusen, United States Marine Corps, of San Clemente, Calif., were married May 31 at Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton.
LENOX — The Stanton Vikings baseball season came to an end last Tuesday in the 1A district quarterfinals when they lost 12-2 in six innings to the Lenox Tigers at Lenox High School.
