Dale Danielson, 66

Dale Lee Danielson was born on Dec. 28, 1955 in Clarinda, the son of Leonard and Peggy (Kimel) Danielson. Dale was raised on their farm north of Villisca along with his brother, Denny Danielson. He attended Villisca Community Schools, graduating from Villisca High School in 1974. He attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and later obtained his Doctorate of Education with LPC and LBP credentials as a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional and Practitioner from Tulsa University. He dedicated the last 35 years working for the Cherokee Nation, helping the people he loved and admired most. He was dedicated to helping people overcome whatever they needed for a fulfilling life.
Dale was quiet but very attentive, and possessed a gift for relating to and assisting his patients as a psychologist. Dale was very committed and appreciative of his co-workers at the W.W. Hastings Hospital and considered them family. He was very proud to have served the Cherokee Nation. Dale loved horses, Ken Burns TV, jeans, boots and cowboy hats. His family, Nic, Chanelle, Izabella, Jenna and Christopher Stovall were special in his heart, as well as his brother, nieces and great nieces and nephews. For all he had planned for the future, Dale passed from this life on Nov. 8, 2022 in Tahlequah, Okla. He will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Peggy Danielson; and ex-wife, Jennifer Danielson.
Those left to celebrate his life are his stepson, Nick Stovall and wife Chanelle and their children, Izabella, Jenna and Christopher Stovall of Tahlequah. He leaves his brother, Denny Danielson and wife Jana of Moline, Ill.; his nieces, Sharla Rath and husband Nic and their children, Clinton, Elijah and Nora of Davenport; Melissa Bocardo and husband Anthony and their daughters, Isabella and Elizabeth of Spokane, Wash. Also, step-mom, Betty Gale Hoskins of Florida; and stepbrother, Dallas Poore and children, Corbin and Kyla of California; and many cousins and friends.
A Celebration of the Life of Dale was held on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, at Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel in Tahlequah, Okla.
There will be a memorial gathering for friends and family at the Villisca Community Center on Dec. 3, 2022, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
