Christopher "Chris" Bullington, 74

Christopher William “Chris” Bullington, 74, Stanton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at his home.
Chris was born Aug. 23, 1948, in Red Oak, the son of Cecil and Betty (Lewis) Bullington. He was raised in the Red Oak area and lived a short time in Idaho before graduating from Red Oak High School in 1966. He studied electrical engineering for a short time.
Chris was united in marriage to Carol Rhoads on Dec. 2, 1967, in Lewis. They lived all of their married life in the Montgomery County area. Over the years, Chris worked for the railroad, D & L, and Uniroyal, later known as Parker Hannifin, retiring after 42 years. He enjoyed fishing, was a member of the Nishna Valley Bass Masters, and loved spending time in the Ozarks. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Betty Bullington; sister, Barbara Alexander; and brother-in-law, Roger Rhoads.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Bullington of Stanton; son, Jim Bullington and wife Rhonda of Council Bluffs; daughter, Terri Raymer and husband Josh of Bellevue, Neb.; grandchildren, Nola Bond and husband JJ of Council Bluffs; Sterling Bullington and her companion Ryan Winkelmann of Council Bluffs; and Krete Bullington of Omaha, Neb.; great-grandchildren, Britton, Brooks, and Beckett Bond and Everly Bullington; father, Cecil Bullington of Papillion, Neb.; siblings, Regina Warkentin and husband John of Papillion, Neb.; Kent Bullington and wife Jaylene of Elliott; Wade Bullington and wife Nancy of Red Oak; Kirk Bullington of Louisville, Ky.; and Joe Bullington and wife Serina of Papillion, Neb.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tim Alexander of Elkhorn, Neb.; Kent Rhoads and wife Deb of Walcott; Connie Griffin of Des Moines; Nancy Schlueter and husband Ross of Atlantic; Cal Rhoads and wife June of Elkhorn; Roland Rhoads of Monticello, Ky.; and Deborah Weaver of Griswold; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends including special friend, Claude Peterson of Stanton.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial was in the Walnut Cemetery in rural Montgomery County.
