Montgomery County Memorial Hospital mammography department recognized
RED OAK — The Montgomery County Memorial Hospital has been recently notified by the Iowa Department of Public Health that the digital mammography unit at the hospital has received a “no findings” rating after a recent inspection.
A “no findings” rating is the highest rating a facility can receive under the Mammography Quality Standards Act.
Montgomery County Memorial Hospital was congratulated on this outstanding accomplishment.
If a facility is cited for deviations following an inspection, the facility must remedy those deviations.
The inspection compared specific items in six major areas (equipment performance, technologist quality control, medical physicist survey, personnel qualifications, medical reports and outcome audits) to required standards.
The inspection at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital showed that all areas reviewed were in compliance with required standards.
