Maxine Carspecken, 92

Maxine C. Carspecken, 92, of Griswold, passed away Dec. 17, 2011, at the Griswold Care Center.

Maxine Caroline Brown was born to Verbal W. and Jessie (Brock) Brown June 27, 1919, in Oakland.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bud.

Survivors include her sons, Dennis, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Richard, of Atlantic; daughter, Marilyn Taylor, of Henderson, Nev.; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; and sister, Ila Gahard, of Peoria, Ariz.

Funeral services took place Thursday, Dec. 22, at the Central Church of Christ in Griswold. Burial was in the Whipple Cemetery. Open visitation was at the Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold Wednesday evening.
