Southeast Warren edges SW Valley
Southeast Warren got by Southwest Valley 8-6 in Pride of Iowa Conference baseball Thursday.
Gunner Weatherman picked up the win for the Warhawks tossing 4 and 2/3 innings while giving up eight hits and two earned runs.
Walker Bissell took the loss for the Timberwolves. The junior allowed one hit and one earned run in 1 and 1/3 innings of work.
Gavin Wetzel and Wyatt Shures had two hits each and Ethan Johnson homered for Southwest Valley.

Lamoni 4
Southwest Valley plated six runs in a big fourth inning rally to pull away from Lamoni for a 15-4 victory last Wednesday in nonconference baseball.
Gavin Wetzel led a 15-hit Timberwolves attack with four hits and a run driven in.
Brody Crozier and Walker Bissell had three hits each and combined to drive in eight runs.
Casey Jones went the distance for the win on the mound. Jones allowed seven hits and one earned run.
Landry Johnson took the loss on the hill for the Demons after allowing eight hits and seven earned runs.
Timberwolves drop two on road
Southwest Valley dropped a pair of Pride of Iowa Conference road games at Martensdale St. Marys last Tuesday.
The Blue Devil’s Travis White threw a five-inning perfect game while striking iut seven in an 11-0 game one win. In game two, the Timberwolves had seven hits in a 10-0 loss.
Caleb Owen took the loss for the Timberwolves in game one. The junior allowed six hits and one earned run in 3 and 1/3 innings. Brayden Truman was credited with the game two loss after allowing nine hits and 10 earned run.
Gavin Wetzel had three hits and Walker Bissell two for Southwest Valley in the nightcap.

Sidney 0
Gavin Wetzel went 2-for-3 at the plate and picked up the win on the mound in a 12-0 win over Sidney in nonconference baseball last Monday.
Wetzel went 2 and 1/3 innings and struck out five to notch the victory. He also scored three runs at the plate.
Walker Bissell and Ethan Johnson drove in three runs apiece and Wyatt Shires was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Max Lang took the loss for Sidney.
Timberwolves no-hit in loss
Kinlie Crow tossed a four-inning no-hitter for Southeast Warren in a 13-0 win over Southwest Valley Thursday.
Belle Ewing and Lexi Clendenen had two hits and drove in two runs each for Southeast Warren.
October Edwards took the loss in the circle for the Timberwolves. The eighth grader allowed 10 hits and 10 earned runs.
Martensdale-St. Marys 17,
Southwest Valley 0
Martensdale St. Marys exploded for 10 first inning runs in a 17-0 shutout win over Southwest Valley in Pride of Iowa Conference softball last Tuesday.
Ella Cassady, Lilly Gibbons and Caitlin Reines-Schmidt had three hits each to lead the Blue Devils.
Emrie Swalla picked up the pitching win after allowing three hits and striking out six.
Brinkley Venteicher went 2-for-2 at the plate while taking the loss in the circle for the Timberwolves.

Southwest Valley 6
Sidney plated 11 runs in a big fifth inning on its way to a 21-6 win over Southwest Valley in nonconference softball last Monday.
Avary Gambar had three hits and drove in three runs and Katie Glenn, Czandrya Morgan and Emma Eighmy added two hits each for Sidney. Gambar notched the win in the circle.
Josslynn Benge, Lilly Anderson and Brinkley Venteicher each had hits for Southwest Valley.
Venteicher took the loss after surrendering 11 hits and 10 earned runs.
