Sports Calendar: April 2 tentative schedule

There isn't a lot on the sports calendar for Thursday. However, thanks to some thunderstorms overnight, we do have postponements.

The only postponement confirmed thus far will be in Stanton as the Viking/Viqueen Relays won't take place Thursday. As of now, there is no make-up date announced.

The other area track meet on the schedule for Thursday is the Early Bird Meet at Audubon High School. The meet is still on for the day. It marks the season debut for the Griswold girls track and field team. The meet starts at 4:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Southwest Valley golf team will be in action Thursday when they host the Clarinda Cardinals. As of now, the meet is still on and will take place at the Happy Hollow Country Club. The meet is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start.
