Scoreboard: Wednesday Scores plus Villisca update

VILLISCA — The Villisca Blue Jays softball team lost Wednesday night to Walnut, 8-4.

The key difference in the game was Walnut's four-run seventh inning, after Villisca had tied it the previous inning.

The Blue Jays have one more game before District play starts. Villisca plays Essex/South Page in Essex.

The Blue Jays baseball team lost 17-6 to Walnut, following the softball game.

Timmy Myers provided a highlight for Villisca by hitting his fifth home run of the season.

There will be more on both games in the July 6 edition of the Red Oak Express.
