Red Oak businesses merge to form Promotional Concepts
RED OAK — Two local businesses have merged, hoping to continue the tradition of a former legendary Red Oak company.
In announcing the formation of the new business, owners Bill Boeye and Mike Lamb stated they want to “keep in the proud Red Oak tradition as the birth place of the art calendar and the Thomas D. Murphy Company.”
“The new company’s name is Promotional Concepts, Inc. of Red Oak” relates Bill Boeye, the prior President of Phoenix and now CFO of Promotional Concepts. “We will be using Phoenix’s 15 percent brokerage fee commission structure. PCI will carry on the practice of knowing our distributors by name and not number.”
Lamb was the founder of Red Oak Concepts, which merged with Phoenix, and will serve as the new business’ CEO.
“It has always been both our companies goal to live up to the rich tradition established by the Murphy company and JII to provide personal support to those hard working professionals in the advertising specialties industry,” Lamb said.
In addition, Promotional Concepts will be a Silver member of ASI’s Multimillion Dollar Roundtable, allowing them increased presence within the Industry along with planned expansion from recruiting sales representatives across the country.
The company has joined forces at 909 Senate Avenue, the former office of Phoenix. The combined companies will be relocating to 220 Coolbaugh Street after the first of the year once the building has been renovated.
That building is adjacent to the new Area Education Agency District office, and is part of the Coolbaugh Street renovation project, headed by local developers Earl and Cynthia Bangston.
