ACCIDENTS
• On March 4, at about 5:42 p.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Elm Street and 3rd Street. Craig Williams, 68, Glenwood, driving a 2005 Toyota Tundra pick-up, was driving south on 3rd Street and slowed down before crossing the intersection with Elm Street when his vehicle was rear-ended. Bobbie Bruce, 35, Red Oak, driving a 1998 Dodge Stratus, stated she had sun in her eyes, did not realize how close she was, and struck the Williams vehicle due to following too closely. The drivers exchanged information, and Bruce later contacted officers to report the accident. Damage to the Williams vehicle was estimated at $800, and damage to the Bruce vehicle was estimated at $2,500. There were no injuries, and no citations were issued.
