Barbara Von Dielingen, 86

Barbara Mae Brown Von Dielingen, 86, Red Oak, entered into glory Friday, Sept. 30, 2022.
Barbara was born May 18, 1936, near Henderson, the daughter of James and Cordelia (Summers) Brown. Her Grandpa Brown gave her the nickname “Bobbie,” as she was known to her family. She was the youngest of six children, twins that were lost in infancy; brother, Nathan “Pete” Brown; and sisters, Betty Core and Bonnie Frink. She attended school in Henderson, where she graduated high school. Barbara went on to work at the five and dime in Red Oak and later at the Red Oak Express, where she was a typesetter. She was united in marriage to Elmer Von Dielingen on Oct. 19, 1956, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale at Nashua. Barbara had four children and after they were raised, she worked as office administrator for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department for 35 years. Barbara was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church for many years and was currently attending Faith Community Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Elmer Von Dielingen on Oct. 29, 1984; and her siblings, two infants; brother, Nathan “Pete” Brown; and sister, Betty Core.
Survivors include her children, Marta and husband Don Goodrich; Ed Von Dielingen and partner Wilma; Ronda and husband Jerry Daffer; and Ron Von Dielingen and wife Stacey; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Bonnie Frink; along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
On Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, graveside services were held at the Evergreen Cemetery and a celebration of life service was held at Faith Community Church.
A memorial fund will be established at a later date.
