Iowa Master Gardener Program Fall Hybrid Training will be Aug. 22 through Oct. 28. Master Gardeners come from many different backgrounds, but have a few key things in common: they love gardening, they love learning, and they love contributing to their local communities. If you want to deepen your horticultural knowledge and serve your community, join this year. To be awarded the coveted Master Gardener title, there are a few things you’ll be asked to do:
• Complete a 10-week online training through Canvas
• Take a pre- and post-test at the beginning and end
• Participate in four in-person sessions with your county/region
• Volunteer 40-hours in your county by Dec. 31, 2023
Ready to apply? Applications available June 3 through July 8.

Training timeline: July 8 - applications are due, August 22 - Online materials available,  Sept. 2 - Pre-test due, Oct. 28 - Online portion ends, Nov. 11 - Post-test due .
There will be four in-person training sessions between Aug. 22 and Oct. 28 at the Mills County ISU Extension and Outreach office in Malvern.
