Red Oak firefighters tackle stove fire

On Jan. 10, at around 6 p.m., the Red Oak Fire Department was dispatched to 1805 N 8^th Street, Apt. 26A for a reported fire coming from the stove.

The Montgomery County Communications Center advised the responding apparatus that the occupant was not evacuating and attempting to suppress the fire. The fire was contained to the stove, with no extension to the remaining portion of the apartment.

Damage was isolated to the stove, dollar amount unknown at time of this report.

No injuries were reported. Acorn Acres maintenance personnel were able to handle the situation at this point and the incident was terminated at 6:13 p.m.

Assisting at the scene were the Red Oak Police Department, and the Montgomery County Communications Center.
