POET awards 6 entities grants

POET Bioprocessing of Corning awarded $1,000 Never Satisfied grants to six organizations striving to make the local community a better place.
The six organizations are:
• Corning Public Library, to update the children’s nonfiction section of the library.
• Corning Elementary School, to build a reading library for the second-grade classroom.
• Prescott Fire and Rescue, to buy CPR manikins for internal CPR certification, as well as expanding their community outreach efforts.
• Stanton Viking Center/Stanton Friends, to implement a permanent sound system for year-round events.
• Creston Schools, to refurbish the Bill Sears Tennis Courts.
• Wilson Performing Arts Center, to upgrade their existing musical park to include benches, signs and handicap access.
“We are excited to be able to award six grants this year,” said Scott Sawtelle, General Manager at POET Bioprocessing – Corning. “Each of these organizations plays an integral role in our community. POET is proud to support their missions and to help make our local community a better, safer, more vibrant place.”
