Bruning announces her re-election as county recorder

Montgomery County Recorder Carleen Bruning has announced she is seeking reelection in the upcoming June 7 Primary Election and Nov. 8 General Election.  
She has been employed in the Recorder’s office for 23.5 years and has served as Montgomery County Recorder since 2006.  
Bruning is a Certified Recorder and currently serves on the Iowa County Recorders Association’s Certification Committee. She has also served several terms as President and Vice-President of District IV of the Iowa County Recorders Association.
A lifelong resident of Montgomery County, Bruning is a graduate of Stanton High School.  She received her Associate of Arts degree from IWCC in Clarinda and her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Neb.
Bruning and her husband, Kenny, live on a farm north of Stanton. They have three children: Amy Sallach, her husband Jeff and their sons Cameron and Caden of Red Oak; Kelly Hill of Austin, Texas; and Kevin Bruning, his wife Jessie and their son Kase of Red Oak.  
Carleen is a member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church and the Women of the ELCA, American Legion Auxiliary #406, all of Stanton; Montgomery County Republican Women; Altrusa International of Red Oak, PEO HB and the Red Oak Grand Theatre Board, all of Red Oak.
“I am committed to staying current on legislative changes, procedural updates, administrative directives and program enhancements while remaining fiscally responsible. We continually strive to serve our customers with the highest level of professional customer service possible,” Bruning said. “I am excited to implement our new digitalization project which will provide 24/7 online access to the real estate records in the Recorder’s office.”
