MCMH’s Health Fair at Inman

Montgomery County Memorial Hospital will host its annual Community Health Fair this Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Inman Primary School gym in Red Oak.

The health fair’s main emphasis is preventive care with the opportunity for people to have free health screenings, including hearing tests, dental care screen, skin damage screen, blood glucose testing, AIDS testing, sensory and grip strength and balance and coordination test, and vitals and blood pressure checks. Blood draw results can also be picked up.

There will be something for all ages at the fair, including a bike ride and walk and cooking demonstrations. There will be prizes, too, including t-shirts, YMCA passes, Brown’s Shoe Fit gift cards, Walmart gift cards, Subway gift cards, and prizes from Red Oak Fabrication.

The 2.5-mile bike ride and walk begins at 7:30 a.m. and will be on the Red Oak Trail.

MCMH dietitians Jennifer Bass and Erin McNamara will provide cooking demonstrations from 8 to 11 a.m., and they will have samples to taste test.
