Tigers down East Mills, 14-6

Mhylee Joint went 2-for-3 and drove in a run at the plate and picked up the win in the circle for Red Oak in a 14-6 victory over East Mills in non-conference softball last Tuesday.
Joint scattered five hits and four earned runs while striking out six and walking five in the win for the Tigers (3-23 overall, 0-17 in the conference).
Kaylee Erickson was 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and an RBI. Lizzy Baucom singled and drove in three runs, and Haylee Joint singled to drive in two runs.
Alexis Jones took the loss for the Wolverines in the circle.
Cloe Brown had two hits and scored two runs and Trenity Williams doubled and drove in two runs.
Red Oak opens postseason play Thursday against Council Bluffs Lewis Central (27-8) at Iowa Western Community College. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.
Tigers drop two to Harlan
Harlan knocked off Red Oak 19-6 and 21-3 in Hawkeye 10 Conference softball last Monday in Red Oak.
The Cyclones smacked 30 hits in the two games combined as they got off to quick starts in both, scoring nine runs in the second inning of game two and 10 in the opening of game two.
Rebekah Christensen notched the game one win, scattering 11 hits and four earned runs while Lauren Schmitz allowed six hits and three earned runs in the nightcap victory.
Avery Mans collected six hits and drove in four runs and Aubree Weber added four hits and drove in five runs in the Cyclones two wins.
Alexis Joint had four hits and Haylee Joint three hits for the Tigers in the two games.
