Red hot Titans down Tigers, 57-28

Council Bluffs Lewis Central got off to a red hot start, scoring 25 of the game’s first 31 points en route to a 57-28 victory over Red Oak in Hawkeye 10 Conference girls basketball Friday.
The Titans carried a 43-13 into halftime.
Brooke Larsen paced the Titans with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Ellie Borns added 11 points and Macie Vetter 10.
The Tigers struggled to find their rhtym offensive, shooting 22.2 percent from the field – 8-of-36 – and turning the ball over 20 tomes.
Ellison Johnson led the way for Red Oak with 12 points. Emily Sebeniecher added nine points.

Maddie Cole’s 22 points helped Clarinda top Red Oak 57-21 in Hawkeye 10 Conference girls basketball last Tuesday.
Cole hit 8-of-16 shots, including 4-of-7 from three, on her big nights. She also chipped in two assists and a steal.
Natalie Johnson paced Red Oak with nine points.

Lenox downed Red Oak 50-25 in non-conference girls basketball last Monday.
Izzy Curtis scored 13 points and Sadie Cox 10 to lead Lenox.
Ellison Johnson paced Red Oak with 15 points.
