AHSTW downs Southwest Valley in district showdown

Drew Lee ran for 205 yards and four touchdowns and returned an interception 95 yards for a touchdown in AHSTW’s 49-12 win over Southwest Valley in Class A, District 7 football in Avoca Friday.
Lee paced a Viking offense that averaged 10.6 yards per carry on its 307 yards on the ground.
Quarterback Wyatt Mendenhall racked up 250 total yards to lead the Timberwolves. The senior completed 10-of-21 passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 103 yards on 18 carries.
Gavin Wetzel caught seven passes for 137 yards and both touchdowns tossed by Mendenhall.
Walker Bissell had six tackles and recovered a fumble to lead the Timberwolves’ defense.
