Bowling splits against Creston
CRESTON — The Red Oak varsity bowling teams split their lone meet held last week.
The Red Oak boys’ team lost by a pin, 2,500-2,499 to the Creston Panthers, while the girls’ defeated Creston 2,203-2,198.
Casey Dykes and Kristi Yardas both provided the highlights for Red Oak. Dykes bowled a 359 series, while Yardas had a 348.
The boys’ are now 12-1 for the season, while the girls remain undefeated at 13-0.
Red Oak will be on the road twice for this week.
Tuesday, the teams travel to Denison to take on Denison-Schleswig, looking to get the regular season sweep. Both the boys and girls picked up wins in the season opener Nov. 30.
On Thursday, Red Oak will be in Neola to face Tri-Center.
This will be the second meeting for both teams in the last couple of weeks.
Red Oak will once again go for the season sweep. The two teams had met Jan. 12 in Red Oak.
