Blomstedt earns national volleyball honors, adds name to record books
Grace Blomstedt, daughter of John and Deb Blomstedt, and a graduate of Red Oak High School, was named Second Team All-American by NAIA Volleyball.
Blomstedt, a sophomore at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY, racked up 265 kills, a team-best for the Blue Raiders. Her .394 attacking percentage was the third highest in the NAIA this season, and her 1.33 blocks per set were the fifth most.
Blomstedt totaled 144 blocks this season, the fifth most in a single season in Blue Raider program history. She also finished third on the team with 265 kills.
Blomstedt helped the Blue Raiders to a 35-2 record in 2016, and the program’s second-straight appearance in the NAIA National Quarterfinals.
