YMCA volleyball camp starts soon

 The Montgomery County Family YMCA, in cooperation with the City of Red Oak Park and Tree Board, will be offering its annual Girls Summer Volleyball camp that will consist of a skills portion and mini tournament play. 

This camp has been designed for elementary aged students with a focus on development of fundamentals. 

Three different camps are being offered based upon what grade the participant will be entering this fall. Red Oak High School Head Varsity Volleyball Coach Angela Montgomery, her assistant coaches and 2014 high school players will lead the camp. 

The camp will be held at the Inman Primary School gymnasium and will take place on Monday and Tuesday, Aug.  4-5. 

Time breakdown for the camps is as follows:

—7th and 8th grade camp will meet from 9-10:30 a.m.

—5th and 6th grade camp will meet from 10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

—3rd and 4th grade camp will meet from 1-2 p.m.

The Y’s intention is that everyone has the opportunity to participate in our programs.
