YMCA receives grant

The Montgomery County Family YMCA was recently awarded a $30,000 grant from the Montgomery County Community Foundation.

The grant will be used for the pool interior project to avoid the future risk of programming downtime and eventual closure of the center.

The renovation will allow the YMCA to continue offering current programs and provide the opportunity to expand program offerings through collaborative efforts with other county agencies. The YMCA has committed funds of another $80,000 from donor gifts and grants to secure the total $110,000 for the project. The project is tentatively scheduled to begin at the end of July, and will take roughly four weeks to complete.
