Wedding Announcement

Samantha Keast of Lakewood, Colo., and James Parsons, also of Lakewood were married July 14, 2017, under the Iowa State University campanile in Ames. Pastor David MacDonald officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony.

The bride, the daughter of Russ and Diane Keast of Henderson, earned her bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in 2016 and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in speech-language pathology. She is employed by Denver Public Schools as a first-grade literacy paraprofessional.

The groom is the son of John and Anne Parsons, Hereford, U.K. He earned his master’s degree in electronic engineering at the University of Surrey in Guildford, U.K., and is employed by a small satellite manufacturer.

The reception took place at Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano in West Des Moines.

Mr. and Mrs. Parsons explored Seattle, the Olympic Peninsula, and Victoria, Canada, while on their honeymoon.

They recently purchased their first home in Lakewood.
