Weather Watch: Back in a Heat Advisory

OMAHA -- The National Weather Service (NWS) of Omaha has issued a heat advisory for Southwest Iowa, which will be in effect for a couple of days.

The heat advisory goes into effect at noon on Sunday and will expire at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Counties affected by the advisory include Montgomery, Mills, Page, Cass and Fremont.

Temperatures will reach a high in the 90s during the day and a low in the 70s for the evening and overnight.

Heat index values could reach anywhere from 100-112, according to NWS.

Take extra precautions if working or spending time outside. Make sure to wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing and drink plenty of water.
