Warrant leads to drug bust by ROPD

 

Two Red Oak residents were arrested and charged with felony drug offenses by the city’s police departmentSaturday, May 21.

According to a press release from the Red Oak Police Department, warrants were served at Apartment B at 205 E. Corning St. and at 404 Highland Ave. in Red Oak. 

The press release said, “As a result of the search warrants, officers arrested 24-year-old Makayla Dawn Hudson of Red Oak for conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine, a Class C felony, and possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor. Officers also arrested 28-year-old Travis Ray Thompson of Red Oak for delivery of methamphetamine, a Class C felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.”

The defendants were held at the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Center in lieu of $50,000 bond.

The police department said it was assisted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, Cass County Sheriff K9, and the Iowa State Patrol.
