Villisca place fifth at Viking Relays

VILLISCA — The Villisca Blue Jays recorded a fifth place finish at the Viking Relays on April 18 in Stanton.

Marshall Dolch highlighted the fifth place result for the Blue Jays when he finished second in the 400-meter hurdles.

Villisca also had a second place finish in the 1,600-meter medley race.

The 4x800 team ran 9:38.40 to finish second in their race.

Jared Spunaugle placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.15 seconds.

Nick Wiechman took fifth in the long jump, jumping 15’5.5”.

Villisca was suppose to compete at Nishnabotna and Griswold last week, but both meets were postponed due to the weather.

The Blue Jays will compete at Audubon on Tuesday.
