Villisca athlete scores 1,000 points

VILLISCA ee" Ryan Focht, a senior, is to be congratulated for making his two point shot on Feb. 3 that brought his total of points to 1,000. Focht had 1.32 left in the game against East Mills when he accomplished this feat. Focht said he was kind of nervous before he made the shot. It seemed to him it was taking quite awhile to make those last two points. “I was glad when it was over with,” Focht said. “It was a great feeling after I made the shot and I could hear the cheering. The fans stood and clapped. It was pretty nice.” Ryan is the son of Mark and the late LaDonna Focht. He has played basketball all four years while in high school in Villisca. “Thank you to all the fan for their outstanding support,” Focht said. Next year Focht plans to attend Iowa State University.
