Update from EMA Director Brian Hamman on Friday, March 20

 Things continue to be monitored at our local level with the evolving COVID-19 situation.  The Montgomery County Emergency Operations Center is activated on a limited basis as we work with local jurisdictions and agencies to fulfil their needs and provide guidance as necessary.  This is a time to hunker down, keep your social distance from others and listen to the advice from healthcare workers and state officials.  By working together and understanding what has already been stressed, we will get through this! 

Don’t forget, wash your hands often!

Local businesses and organizations who wish to donate personal protective equipment can still donate those items.  

Rumor mill – Please make sure if you’re sharing items on social media or talking in a group that the information you are sharing is accurate and factual.  Only get information from trusted sources such as local government services, IDPH and the CDC.
