Two vehicle collision leads to $105,000 in damage

Around 3:07 p.m. o Oct. 28, deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene of a two-vehicle property damage accident near the intersection of 4th St. and Elm.
A white 2020 Dodge 3500, owned by the City of Red Oak and operated by Richard Allen, backed into a 2009 Pierce Arrow fire truck, also owned by the City of Red Oak.
The collision resulted in $5000 damage to the Dodge and $100,000 damage to the cargo bed of the fire truck. The investigation is ongoing and the issuance of citations is anticipated.
