Two arrests outside Red Oak
At around 8 a.m. on Feb. 26, the Montgomery County Sheriff's office received a report of a suspicious male attempting to solicit a ride near the intersection of L Avenue and 160th Street northeast of Red Oak.
Deputies arrived on location and did locate a white 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe in the middle of 160th Street, a half mile west of the intersection. During the investigation it was determined the tahoe was stolen from an auto dealership in Omaha.
As a result, deputies arrested two individuals located in the vehicle, Christopher J. Brown, 41, of Council Bluffs, and Janie J. Long, 23, of Red Oak. Both were charged with theft in the second degree, and were booked into the Montgomery County Jail and held in lieu of $5,000 bond.
