What a difference a week makes. On April 6, Red Oak and the surrounding counties in Southwest Iowa were seeing snow showers, and last Friday, the county saw the warmest weather so far in 2018, with highs in the mid 70s. The region experienced a full variety of weather patterns last Friday, with blizzard warnings and winter weather advisories for central Nebraska, and tornado watches, warnings, and severe thunderstorm warnings for Southeast Nebraska and Southwest Iowa. The break in cold weather didn’t last long, with snow returning to the county Sunday morning. Students at Inman Primary took advantage of the warm outdoor temperatures.
