Tillotson recognized at WSU
PULLMAN, Wash. - Kathryn H. Tillotson will be representing the College of Sciences at Washington State University during Commencement on Dec. 11. She is being recognized for her achievements during her time at WSU.
After completing her bachelor’s degree in biology in Iowa she went to WSU to work on water restoration. Her master’s project describes a restoration project on the south fork of the Palouse River. Tillotson and her fellow students will be replacing invasive canary reed grass with native plant species.
This work, her interdisciplinary interests and her aptitude for bridging biophysical and social sciences, led her to a doctoral research assistantship on the interdisciplinary National Science Foundation grant for water, sustainability and climate in the Spokane-Coeur D’Alene basin, which she will start at WSU this spring semester.
