Swimmers qualify for YMCA State Meet
RED OAK — The YMCA Sharks Swimming team had seven swimmers qualify for the State Championship meet during the 2012 YMCA Sectionals Swim meet Feb. 11.
In order for swimmers to qualify for the State Championship Meet they need to swim State Qualifying times at the Sectionals Swim Meet.
Allison England qualified with her 500 yard freestyle with a time of 6:33.53.
Alex Jorgensen qualified with his 50 yard Freestyle with a time of 28.81, and his 100 yard Freestyle was 1:09.22.
Jaden Jorgensen qualified with his 200 yard Freestyle that had a time of 3:05.07.
Molly Lihs qualified with her 100 yard IM was 2:01.11. Sydney Sallach qualified with her 100 yard Butterfly that had a time of 1:14.60, her 400 IM was 5:23.73, and her 500 yard Freestyle was a 5:55.24.
Kamryn Wendt qualified with her 25 yard Freestyle that had a time of 16.84, and her 100 IM that had a time of 1:48.74.
Madison Wendt qualified with her 50 yard Backstroke that had a time of 39.88, and her 50 yard Butterfly that had a time of 39.66.
There were 15 swimmers that competed at the meet.
Other participants at the meet include Claire Bennett, Taylor Bennett, Aspen Jorgensen, Alex Lihs, Madison Lihs, Morgan Lihs, John Sallach, and Jaelehn Smith.
