Supper held by Lincoln Hustlers 4-H Club
The Lincoln Hustlers 4-H Club held a free supper for Lincoln Township residents Sept. 13 at the Wales Presbyterian Church. The supper was paid for by funds received through Boost4Familes and Community Partnership for Protecting Children Neighborhood Network Mini-Grant.
The purpose was to encourage neighbors to get to know each other and promote knowledge of child abuse detection and life saving techniques.
Matt Franks of the Red Oak Fire Department taught approximately 80 people how to use a portable defibrillator, commonly found in public buildings, and gave advice on how to assist accident victims or persons facing threatening medical conditions. He also spoke on identifying child abuse indicators.
