Stanton seniors receive diplomas
STANTON — Eighteen graduates walked across the stage to receive their diplomas at the Stanton High School Commencement ceremony on Saturday night.
Those in attendance heard words from Rev. Paul Warder, School Principal Dennis McClain and Superintendent Judd Ashley.
Kadie Subbert gave the Salutatory Address, offering stories about the class, including a few anecdotes about the senior trip to the Ozarks, last week.
Valedictorian Bryton Thoren noted some of the accomplishments that the class had been apart of, whether it was in the classroom or in activities.
The High School Choir, which also featured senior singers, sang ‚"How Many Seasons‚Äù and ‚ÄúLet Your Heart Be Staid.‚ÄùBefore the presentation of diplomas, the senior class stood and sang their class song, ‚ÄúLean on Me."
School Board President Jeff Magneson, along with Ashley, presented the diplomas to the graduates.Before the closing ceremony, the seniors and those in attendance viewed the Senior Slide Show, which featured the graduates from early childhood up until senior year.The following students received their diplomas on Saturday night:
