Stanton National Honor Society inductees

The Stanton Community School recently inducted five new members into the National Honor Society. 

Congratulations to Andrew Cerven, son of Roger and Becky Cerven; Jared Larson, son of Kim Lewis and Andy Larson; Crystal Mackey, daughter of Tom and Roxanne Osher; Myles Peterson, son of Mark and Melanie Peterson; and Paige Peterson, daughter of John and Stacie Peterson.
This year we were happy to have Stanton’s former fourth grade teacher, Karen Mead, as our guest speaker.
The Stanton Honor Society is involved in community service activities and provides two scholarships for Stanton students each year.  So far this year, the group has helped with Stanton’s Trick-or-Treat on the Trail and also organized a service project to take elementary students trick-or-treating around town for Halloween.  Future plans include a Valentine cookie sale to raise funds for the scholarships and volunteering at the Grand Theatre.
