Stanton CSD announces Coronavirus closure
The Stanton Community School District will be closed for the next two weeks in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. While Gov. Kim Reynolds has advised a four-week closure, Stanton School officials say they wish to re-asses the pandemic in two weeks time and see if the Governor has changed her recommendation. The school is scheduled to open again March 27.
Stanton staff are preparing to provide learning opportunities away from school during this time. Officials are waiting for reccomendations from the State of Iowa on what will be allowed in meeting requirements. Staff are also working on ways to provide breakfast and lunch to families in need. More information is pending.
Further updates on the situation will be made as more information becomes available.
