Sports Calendar: Tuesday, April 24

It's another busy day in sports as we near the end of April. Temperatures are warming slightly more and spring is here. There's plenty of sports action going on Tuesday around the area.

In tennis, both Red Oak teams will be competing Tuesday. The boys' will be home for the first time in nearly two weeks when they take on the Clarinda Cardinals. Red Oak currently sits third in the conference with a 2-1 record (4-1 overall).

The girls will be on the road as they play Clarinda.

In track, Red Oak will be competing at the Red Raider Relays in Mount Ayr. Essex will also be competing at the Relays in Mount Ayr Tuesday.

Villisca's track teams will also be in action Tuesday when they travel North to Audubon for the meet. Griswold will also be competing at Audubon's meet.

The rest of the Corner Conference, boys and girls track, will be in Malvern for the East Mills track meet.

In golf, Red Oak will take on Clarinda as the boys are home and the girls are away. The girls in particular are coming off of their first win of the season, last Tuesday. Both teams look to get that first Hawkeye Ten win of the season.

Villisca's golf team will be home Tuesday, competing against Bedford.
