Sports Calendar: May 4 updates

There's a lot of activities on the sports calendar today. However, because of the forecast calling for showers and possible thunderstorms, those activities could be postponed or canceled.

Here's the list of area postponements we have thus far:

• Southwest Valley golf at Lenox, no make-up date announced.

As of now, these events are on as scheduled:

• Red Oak track at Atlantic meet- 5 p.m.
• Red Oak girls tennis (JV canceled) vs. Creston- 4:30 p.m. (Indoors at the YMCA)
• Red Oak boys tennis vs. Creston (JV canceled)- 4:30 p.m (UPDATE: The boys meet will be played in Red Oak at the indoor tennis center at the Montgomery County Family YMCA)
• Red Oak girls golf vs. Creston- 4:30 p.m.
• Red Oak boys golf at Creston- 4:30 p.m.
• Southwest Valley Track at POI meet (Nodaway Valley)- 4 p.m.
