Sports Calendar: June 18

We have another busy day on the sports calendar with lots of softball and baseball action scheduled.

The Red Oak baseball team returns to action Thursday evening as they travel back to Carroll to complete the second game of a doubleheader that was postponed May 29. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start at the Carroll Baseball Stadium.

The Stanton baseball and softball teams are heading to the same location for Thursday as they play doubleheaders against Bedford. The first game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.

Both Southwest Valley teams will be in action Thursday evening as they hit the road for JV/varsity doubleheaders against Central Decatur. The JV teams play first at 6 p.m.

The Essex softball team will be home Thursday evening as they host Treynor for a JV/varsity doubleheader. The first game starts at 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Essex baseball team will hit the road for a varsity doubleheader against Clarinda Academy starting at 3 p.m.

Finally, Griswold will be on the road as they travel to Avoca for a JV/varsity softball doubleheader against AHSTW. The first game starts at 6 p.m.
