Special Senate election scheduled for Jan. 4

RED OAK — Montgomery County voters will have a chance to cast their ballots in a special Senate election Tuesday, Jan. 4.
Joni Ernst (R) and Ruth Smith (D) are running for the 48th District Senate seat vacated by Lt. Gov.-elect Kim Reynolds.
Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m., and include:
— Precinct One, Gold Fair Building, Red Oak;
— Precinct Two, Red Oak Fire Station;
— Precinct Three, First Christian Church, Red Oak;
— Precinct Four, Elliott Community Building;
— Precinct Five, Stanton Fire Station;
— Precinct Six, Grant City Fire Station;
— Precinct Seven, Villisca Community Building.
