Sexual Abuse charge dropped against Haas
RED OAK — Contrary to a report published in this week’s Red Oak Express, a sexual abuse charges against Ian Haas has been dropped.
According to District Court records, the prosecution dismissed the sexual abuse second degree charge Dec. 6. Haas then pleaded guilty to a child endangerment (no injury) charge, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, one-year probation, and a $625 fine.
However, the jail sentence and the fine were suspended, pending his completion of terms of the probation.
In the Dec. 14 edition, the Red Oak Express incorrectly printed Haas had pleaded guilty to the original sexual abuse charge. The Express staff apologizes for any inconvenience this error may have caused.
