Scoreboard: Sept. 27 scores

Here are some scores from Tuesday night in volleyball.

Harlan Cyclones 3, Red Oak Tigers 0

The Tigers volleyball team was handed their first non-tournament loss of the season by the Cyclones.

Both teams went back and forth in the first game, tying 11 times. Harlan however rallied for four straight points and took the first game, 25-21.

The Cyclones took control early in the second game and stayed there, winning game two 25-17. Harlan clinched the match with a game three victory, 25-9.

Gabi French finished the match with 19 kills to lead the team. The loss was Red Oak's fourth this season. It also marked Red Oak's second loss to Harlan this year.

The Tigers will be back in action this Saturday when they travel to Neola to take part in the Tri-Center Tournament.

Stanton Viqueens 3, Nishnabotna Warriors 0

The Viqueens played their first match at home this season and did so with a win over the Warriors.

Stanton won 25-11, 25-9 and 25-19, giving them their 20th win this season.

Stanton has another home match Thursday night when they face the Essex Trojannettes.There will be more on these stories in the 10/4 edition of the Red Oak Express.
