School bond issue passes
Voters all over Red Oak assembled at the Gold Fair building Tuesday, June 27, to vote on a $19,990,000 bond issue to renovate the high school and Inman Primary.
Based on the unnofficial election results, there were 1,287 votes cast, with 937 voting yes, or 76.69 percent of the vote, to 300 voting no on the bond issue, or 23.31 percent. A 60% supermajority was needed in order to pass.

A bond issue in Griswold also passed with 589 yes votes to 354 voting no. The bond issue will allow for the construction of an elementary addition to the middle school/high school building, and additional renovations.
