RO Tigers win; Griswold Tigers third
The Red Oak Tigers competed in the Griswold quad last Tuesday, scoring 170 points to win.
Bedford/Lenox placed second with 123, Griswold third with 69, and Southwest Iowa fourth with 15 points.
Red Oak won all three duals, and went 13-7 in contested matches.
“We won a couple close ones, but also lost a couple close ones,” Red Oak head coach Tiegen Podliska said. “To me, those are the most frustrating. When you start to win the close ones, you can go from good to great. I felt like we were much more aggressive than in our duals last week. We were much more of a team, building off of each other and fighting for the guys we compete with.”
John Erp, Bryan Erp, Cam Vanderhoof, Justin McCunn, Carter Maynes, and Liam Mahoney were 3-0.
