Red Oak Schools collect Box Tops for Education
Inman Primary and Washington Schools are collecting Box Tops for Education again this year.
Each Box Top collected is worth 10 cents to go toward the Red Oak area students' education.
Help by cutting Box Tops from favorite General Mills products and sending them to school with a child in Kindergarten-Fifth grade. Collection boxes have also been set up at Fareway and Hy-Vee stores in Red Oak.
Each year, two dates are designated as collection dates. This year those dates are Nov. 1 and March 1. Then, two reimbursement checks from the Box Tops collection headquarters will be sent to Red Oak Schools.
Inman Primary School has encouraged the students to collect as many Box Tops as they can. We have come together and set goals, and made a visual chart for the kids to monitor the progress of collecting.
Every contribution is important, no matter how big or small. Kids always love to help out. When kids are taught to get involved in the school, they will most likely be more involved in the community too.
The money received has been used to help purchase playground equipment and classroom items in the past. Inman Primary School recently received a check for $1,751.30 from the fall collection. Every dime you cut out and send to school in the form of a Box Top makes a big difference.
We appreciate the community, parental and family support of Red Oak schools and the Box Top program.
