Arinda Abbuhl and Emily Gutschenritter, graduates of Red Oak High School, have been chosen for summer internships at Mayo clinic.

Abbuhl and Gutschenritter have been selected through a highly competitive process to spend 10 weeks this summer doing research in the Virology and Gene Therapy SURF Program at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

Arinda and Emily will be mentored by Dr. Stephen Russel beginning Tuesday, May 31 and ending Friday, Aug. 5. Each girl will also receive a $5,000 stipend for their experience at the prestigious school.
