Red Oak Farmers Market kicks off 2020, with necessary precautions

Spring is here and so is the Red Oak Farmers Market!

We’re so glad we’re able to have our farmers market as scheduled in the mist of COVID-19. Our market is taking the necessary precautions and guidelines that were issued by Governor Kim Reynolds to ensure our community’s safety while still being able to provide farm fresh, local produce!

Starting Thursday, May 21st from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. you can find the Red Oak Farmers Market located in Historic Fountain Square Park. Starting June 6th from 9:00 a.m. to Noon the Saturday farmers market begins in Historic Fountain Square Park. Along with these two regular markets, we also host a farmers market at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital the first Tuesday of the months June, July, August, and September; located outside on the lower level back patio from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Some goodies you can find at the beginning of the market this year include: farm fresh eggs, radishes, spinach, rhubarb, microgreens, asparagus, soaps, and baked goods galore!

All our vendors are so happy that we are allowed to have our market this year and we are hopeful to see many of our healthy and happy community members there.

We are always welcoming new vendors. If you are interested in becoming a new vendor visit our website redoakfarmersmarket.com, our Facebook page, or call Anna Boeye at 712-370-1148.
